My mission is to support busy women who struggle with stress, take control of their energy, have wonderful sleep and rediscover their joy in work and life.

Helping you achieve health and wellbeing by working out what makes you truly thrive.

I know what it is like to live with chronic pain and to be told that there is no ‘cure’.  Feeling frustrated that your body is letting you down and holding you back from living the life you want.

I had difficult periods from the start - irregular cycles and crippling cramps.  My doctor put me on the pill when I was 15 to ‘manage’ my cycle and that is the mindset I had.

For almost two decades, I saw my cycle as an inconvenience, something to be managed, and believed that the symptoms I experienced were just something I’d have to put up with - it was out of my control.

I was diagnosed with endometriosis when I was 20 while studying law at university.

For the next 10 years, I used the pill, prescription and over-the-counter medications to manage my symptoms and had various laparoscopic surgeries.

Over the years, I took pride in my ability to push through the pain I experienced and worked hard to achieve the goals I set myself personally and professionally. I had a successful law career and loved the busyness of life, working long hours and exercising hard.  I was pretty stressed, but that was normal, right?

I relied on the pill and pain medication to continue with the pace of life I’d set for myself. I didn’t understand that they were just masking my natural cycles and there were so many things I could do to help heal myself.

When I came off the pill aged 30, my symptoms worsened.  I was forced to slow down and felt like I was failing.  My ‘perfectionist’ mindset hated that I couldn’t live up to my own expectations.

Listen to your body when she whispers and you will never have to hear her scream.

Back then I was disconnected from my body, feeling only frustration and resentment that I was being slowed down. I hadn’t stopped to listen to what she might be telling me. And now she was ready to scream.

I started acupuncture and was fascinated by the ‘whole person’ approach of Traditional Chinese Medicine, tackling the root cause of problems rather than just treating the symptoms.  I realised that what I put into my body could have a huge impact on how I was feeling and how my body functions.

I began to make changes to what I was eating but soon realised food was only one part of the puzzle.  My diet could only take me so far - I had to address other areas of my life.  The best diet in the world would not help me if I was constantly putting myself under stress.

So I started to make a whole host of other life and behaviour changes.  I changed my exercise routine, got rid of toxic cosmetic and household products, developed a meditation practice and tried a range of other therapies and healing techniques to support me.

Most importantly, I started listening to my body and got to know my cycles, understanding what’s normal for me.

It took so much energy to push through my symptoms for so many years, fighting against my body.  Using this energy instead to work with my body was so much more constructive.

Over time, my periods became regular, the pain significantly reduced and I had more energy - without needing to rely on medications.  I found peace and balance in my body and understood what I needed to be healthy.

The life changes I made have given me a solid foundation for health, the awareness to know when I need some extra support and the tools that work for me.  It’s an ongoing journey!

My experience has ignited my passion to take responsibility for my own health and to support other women do the same.  Taking on this responsibility inevitably requires behaviour change which led me to health coaching.

I trained with the Kresser Institute as an ADAPT Certified Functional Health Coach and have undertaken specialist training in endometriosis and pelvic pain with the Integrative Women’s Health Institute.

My journey has taught me the importance of allowing myself to be supported.  I don’t have to do this alone.  Now, I am committed to supporting other women reconnect to their bodies and develop their own toolkit to heal and feel their best.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
